Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use ResumeHQ. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

What the service does

ResumeHQ scores your resume against a job posting and can generate rewritten resumes and cover letters. It is a drafting and analysis tool. It does not submit applications for you, and it makes no guarantee of interviews, offers, or employment.

AI output and your responsibility

Scores and generated text are produced by automated systems and can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing anything you send to an employer and for making sure it is truthful. Do not submit generated content you have not verified.

Your account

• Give an email address you can actually receive mail at.
• Your account is personal. Do not share your credentials or let others use your subscription.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload another person's resume or personal information without their permission.
• Do not scrape the service, resell it, or run automated bulk requests against it.
• Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or authentication.
• Do not use the service to create deliberately false credentials.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, without a refund for the current period.

Subscriptions

Paid plans bill monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices and plan limits are shown on the pricing page and may change; a change will not affect the period you have already paid for. Cancellation and refunds are described in the Refund Policy.

Availability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It may be unavailable for maintenance, may change, and may be discontinued. We do not promise uninterrupted service or that any particular feature will keep working.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost job opportunities or lost income.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us permission to process it only to provide the service to you — scoring, generating your documents, and storing what you choose to save. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
